Essential Oil of Lime

Benefits of Lime EO

Put the Lime in the coconut and call me in the moooooorning, yes you call me in the morning!

This Essential Oil, like many, smells amazing.  If you close your eyes and take in a deep breath of Lime EO, it takes you right back to the beaches of Florida.

To extract this oil, it is cold expressed from the peel.

With that being said, if you apply this oil directly, you want to avoid direct sunlight for 12 hours due to the oil being a photo-toxic and can cause photo-sensitivity.  It has been regarded safe for human consumption by the FDA.  You can actually dilute one drop of oil in 1 tsp honey OR 1 drop of oil in 4 oz of a beverage to use as a Dietary Supplement.

If you want to blend with other oils, they have recommended Citronella, clary sage, lavender, rosemary, and all other citrus oils (like lemon in our Limeonade scrub)!
